Western Cape | Distribution of antiretroviral injection begins

The Western Cape Health Department has started distributing the drug, Lenacapavir, at 22 sites in communities with the highest HIV rates in the province. The targeted areas include townships like Delft, Khayelitsha, Gugulethu, Mfuleni, and Nomzamo. The rollout of the HIV preventative injection which is administered twice a year, has been described as a move towards normalising the response to HIV.
