The Madlanga Commission has revealed that Major-General Feroz Khan is set to appear before the probe on 1 July 2026 amid its focus on the July 2021 Aeroton SCANIA R300 million drug bust evidence which leaves a lot of questions for the high-ranking cop. This as the Commission has heard more evidence in relation to Khan and other high-ranking Hawks officers' presence at the scene which point to allegations of interference and defeating the ends of justice. Meanwhile, SAPS Lieutenant-Colonel Nkoana Joseph Sebola, from the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, has detailed how investigators obtained critical evidence in the form of screenshots linked to an individual identified as Tumelo Nku who is an alleged police informer. These messages allegedly refer to the movement of suspected drug containers through the port. Prof Kholofelo Rakubu joins us for more on today's proceedings. She is a criminologist at the Tshwane University of Technology.
