He faces multiple serious allegations, including extortion, election violence, and EVM tampering. After his arrest, he was brought to Kolkata where he is expected to be produced in court for further interrogation. Following the arrest, angry locals in Falta vandalized his office, alleging that relief materials had been hidden inside the premises.

Decode With Sudhir Chaudhary: पश्चिम बंगाल की राजनीति में एक और बड़ा घटनाक्रम सामने आया है। TMC के विवादित नेता जहांगीर खान को बंगाल पुलिस की स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स ने भारत-नेपाल सीमा के पास से गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। ममता बनर्जी सरकार में ‘पुष्पा’ के नाम से चर्चित जहांगीर खान को अभिषेक बनर्जी का करीबी माना जाता था और वह कई दिनों से फरार चल रहा था। उस पर जबरन वसूली, चुनावी हिंसा और EVM से छेड़छाड़ जैसे गंभीर आरोप लगे हैं। गिरफ्तारी के बाद उसे कोलकाता लाया गया, जहां अदालत में पेश कर पूछताछ की जाएगी। वहीं उसकी गिरफ्तारी के बाद फाल्टा में स्थानीय लोगों ने उसके दफ्तर में तोड़फोड़ की और आरोप लगाया कि वहां राहत सामग्री छिपाकर रखी गई थी।
