Shangri-La Dialogue gets underway in Singapore with tight security

More than 4,500 police officers and security personnel have been deployed as the Shangri-La Dialogue gets underway in Singapore. Defence chiefs and senior officials from more than 40 countries are attending high-level meetings, with discussions expected to focus on global security challenges and evolving defence partnerships. A notable feature this year is a breakfast meeting involving ASEAN defence leaders. The meeting will be co-hosted by Singapore and current ASEAN Chair Philippines. Aslam Shah reports.
