Senate proposes Sh 454Bn for counties, rejects Sh 420Bn proposed by National Assembly

Senators have passed the Division of Revenue Bill 2026 with amendments, proposing Kshs 454bn as equitable share for county governments, shooting down a 420bn shillings proposal by the National Assembly. This means the bill will proceed to mediation between the two houses.
