RCMP spied on Inuit politicians as they developed Nunavut proposal, reports show

In 1976, as Inuit politicians refined their proposal to create the territory of Nunavut, reports show they were being watched. The RCMP spied on Inuit leaders as part of its 'Native extremism' surveillance program from the 1960s through the 1980s.
