Veterinarians decry the mushrooming of quacks in the industry

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to transforming the livestock sector through increased investment in veterinary services. According to the Ministry of Agriculture the government is finalizing on a Livestock Master Plan aimed at boosting productivity and strengthening Kenya’s food security. This comes at the backdrop of mounting pressure from Kenya Veterinary Board, calling for policy reforms in the sector to safeguard the welfare of the professionals and streamline access to veterinary services for all farmers across the country.
