#Record 208 couples dance Polonaise in #Vilnius

A record 208 couples took part in the annual Graduates' Polonaise on Vilnius Cathedral Square, one of the most cherished traditions of Poland's community in Lithuania. The dancers included 198 pairs of graduating students and nine pairs of school principals representing 13 Polish schools from Vilnius and the surrounding region.

Recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2023, the polonaise is one of Poland's national dances and a lasting symbol of the country's history and cultural identity.

The annual performance has grown into one of the most important cultural events for the Polish minority in Lithuania.
