86-year old seeks help for disabled grandchild

An 86-year-old distressed Eastern Cape woman living in deplorable conditions has appealed for assistance in taking care of her disabled grandchild.

Hilder Mlungwana from Mandela Park in Mthatha, lives in a dilapidated house with her 31-year-old bedridden grandson and her 45-year-old mentally ill daughter.

Every day, Mlungwana has to lock her grandson inside the house and leave him alone.
