*Political parties have reacted to President Cyril Ramaphosa's address on illegal immmigration .
Ramaphosa says government will strengthen border security, not as an act of hostility, but as a necessity for a sovereign and well-governed state.

*A new witness is expected to take the stand at the Madlanga Commission which is tasked with investigating allegations of criminality, political interference and corruption in the justice system.


*The Health Department will begin the phased rollout of the new HIV prevention injection, Lenacapavir, today.
Gauteng has been identified as a key implementation site, as the country's most populous province and one of the regions with a high HIV burden.

*The Israeli government says its air force has launched airstrikes in Beirut's southern suburb in Lebanon yesterday.
The strikes were apparently in response to "Hezbollah's firing at Israeli territory".

*Christian Eriksen is conscious after collapsing during Denmark's friendly against Ukraine. Footage showed Eriksen grabbing his chest before collapsing in the 65th minute. The match in the Danish city of Odense was later abandoned.
