Youth Month | Dr. Khensani Xirvuri: breaking barriers in the AI space

From humble beginnings in rural Limpopo, to becoming one of South Africa's leading voices in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science, our guest today is breaking barriers and redefining what's possible for young African women in technology.

Dr Khensani Xivuri is an accomplished data scientist, researcher, and technology leader whose work is helping shape the future of responsible and ethical artificial intelligence.

Her remarkable journey has earned her recognition among South Africa's most influential young professionals, inspiring a new generation to pursue careers in science and technology.

Today, she joins us with her supervisor to share her story of resilience, excellence, and innovation.

She is the first and only black woman to obtain a PHD in Applied Data Science at the University of Johannesburg, and is joined by Prof Hossana Twinomurinzi, Dr Xivuri's Supervisor.
