Macadamia traders in Central urge Government to lift ban on export of unprocessed nut

Nut traders from the Mt Kenya region are calling on the government to temporarily suspend the ban on the sale and export of unprocessed macadamia nuts for six months. The traders say the ban has negatively affected the sector, leading to reduced market opportunities, financial losses and lower returns for farmers.
