#Pope Leo begins first #EU visit outside #Italy with trip to #Spain

Pope Leo has arrived in Spain for a week-long visit, his first to an EU country outside Italy. He will meet Spain’s royal family, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and lawmakers in Madrid, before traveling to Barcelona to inaugurate the Tower of Jesus Christ at the Sagrada Família and meet migrants and aid organizations.
