Western Cape Floods | Several roads closed, communities remain isolated - Mariska Botha reports

Following another bout of heavy rain in the Western Cape, several roads have been cut off and some areas remain isolated. Aid groups are assessing needs and delivering essential supplies where possible, as concerns grow over continued flooding from swollen rivers and dam spillages.

One person has lost their life in the Garden Route storms that swept the district over the last two days.

Police in Oudtshoorn have opened an inquest docket after the body of a man was found in a river at a local resort.

The deceased tried crossing a low water bridge. SABC News reporter Mariska Botha has more.
