Young SA karatekas set for international karate tournament in Japan

Gauteng Katlehong Shinkyokushinkai branch has been invited to compete in Dream Cup Karate Festival. The tournament will take place in Tokyo, Yoyogi Gymnasium on the 18th and 19th of JULY 2026.

It is held once in every two years and is estimated to hosts over 5000 participants from as young a 4yrs to as old as 85.

First female in Africa to have obtained a 5th Black belt which is mainly dominated by men as well as two of his karatekas, Thulisile Mavuso and Paballo Mofokeng.
