Impact of municipalities under administration

A political oversight committee co-chaired by the deputy ministers of Finance and Cooperative Governance will direct the national government intervention at the troubled Ditsobotla Local Municipality in the North West. On the other hand, eight municipalities in the Free State have been placed under administration under Section 139 of the Constitution.
