Student Protest | UJ students protest over cost of accommodation

As South Africa continues to grapple with the cost of student accommodation, residents of Thrive Student Living Properties protested outside Johannesburg University and SABC offices in the city.

The students say they are being forced to pay monthly top-up fees, despite already receiving NSFAS-accredited housing.

Luyanda Danca reports questions are being asked about affordability, living conditions and accountability in private student accommodation.
