EU chief says bloc is prepared for “every scenario” after Trump tariff threat

Top EU and US trade officials are set for talks in Paris, on the sidelines of an upcoming G7 meeting. Trade tensions between the two sides are simmering after US President Donald Trump said the bloc did not comply with a tariff agreement reached last summer. Mr Trump said he would hike levies on European cars. EU chief Ursula von der Leyen reiterated the bloc's committed to the deal and said they are prepared for “every scenario”.
