Earlier this week, the U.S.suggested it might base some of its nuclear weapons on NATO’s eastern flank. Is this actually likely? And will it not make Russia even more hostile?
“We’re living in a world where we should have learned now to cast aside what may have seemed unimaginable a few years ago. The actions of the Kremlin over the last 15 years have shown that the post-Cold War geopolitical agreements and architecture to maintain stability in Europe, those are long dead and buried,” Philippe Dickinson, Deputy Director of the Atlantic Council, told TVP World.
“And we shouldn’t be trying to make our own geopolitical calculations as to what will and won’t antagonize or provoke Russia. They have shown that the only thing that they respond to and will be deterred by, is shows of strength and force,” he added.
Join our host, Aaron Dahmen, and his guest as they discuss how Europe should approach the idea of bringing Putin to the negotiating table, $400 milion that the U.S. Congress appropriated for aid to Ukraine, and the need to incorproate Kyiv into Western structures, such as the EU and NATO.
