Port St Johns | SAWIC calls for unity to resolve projects disputes

The South African Women in Construction and Built Environment has urged communities to work with government and other stakeholders to resolve issues affecting projects within their communities.

That's after a construction plant was torched in Mzintlava in Port St Johns in the Eastern Cape by angry residents.

It's alleged that residents have been unhappy about employment opportunities in the local road project, which forms part of the multi-billion rand N2 Wild Coast road project.

The South African Women in Construction and Built Environment held a women's empowerment and community engagement to quell tensions.
