Government calls for school heads to embrace dialogue with learners

The Ministry of Education is urging school heads to open dialogue channels with learners to defuse rising tensions and prevent cases of unrest and arson in schools. Basic Education Principal Secretary Ambassador Professor Julius Bitok says the government is deploying an additional 400 quality assurance officers to conduct nationwide compliance inspections for schools in the next ten days. He spoke in Nairobi during the Kenya High School prize-giving day.
