Over 600k online applications received for grade 1 and 8 as closing date draws near

The Gauteng Education Department says it has received over 300-thousand online applications for grades one and eight for 2027 so far.

Gauteng Education MEC Lebogang Maile says the process is running smoothly.

This as the closing date for online applications draws nearer.

Last year, parents were left distraught when the system had techical glitches which led to delays in school placements.
