Welcoming UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to India, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar highlighted the transformation of bilateral relations from historical and cultural connections to a forward looking partnership driven by shared economic ambitions, high technology, trade, and strategic cooperation.

He noted that the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), the adoption of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and the Defence Industrial Roadmap have positioned both countries to build a future oriented and mutually beneficial partnership.
