Opposition accuses government-allied leaders of planning violence

The United Opposition allied lawmakers have accused some leaders allied to the government, including top state officials, of being behind organised political hooliganism in perceived opposition strongholds. The MPs allied to DCP, Wiper and Jubilee Parties want state officials to be apolitical and serve all Kenyans equally. However, former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has distanced himself from the accusations of bankrolling violence in the Mt Kenya region.
