Heavy rains expected in NMB - Shadrack Sibiya shares more

All schools in the Nelson Mandela Metro and and and parts of Sarah Baartman districts are closed for today (03 June 2026).

This action comes as heavy rains are expected to hit Nelson Mandela Metro and surrounding areas that could lead to flooding.

The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 5 warning for disruptive rain between today and tommorrow in the Metro.
