PIE Act open for public comment

South Africans have been called upon to give their input on the proposed amendments to the Prevention of Illegal Eviction from and Unlawful Occupation of Land Act, better known as the PIE Act. The legislation governs the eviction of unlawful occupiers of land or private property while upholding Constitutional rights. Some landowners who attended the consultation process in Kimberley, Northern Cape say the current legislation often leaves them vulnerable.
