Three dead after Mossel Bay unrest

Western Cape Police have confirmed that three people died during violent unrest in Mossel Bay over the weekend. The violence, centred around the Asla Park informal settlement in KwaNonqaba, has displaced hundreds of alleged undocumented immigrants, with around 400 people now being accommodated at undisclosed locations in the town. More than 50 informal structures were destroyed during the unrest.
