Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said strikes against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon will intensify, despite a US-brokered ceasefire.
At least three people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a car in the south, as Netanyahu declared that Israel is “at war” with Hezbollah.
In Tyre, evacuation orders have been issued in densely populated areas, including refugee camps, with civilians reporting growing displacement and fear as ceasefire violations continue.
Meanwhile, Iran has reportedly told Hezbollah that any ceasefire in Lebanon is tied to broader negotiations with the United States.
Diplomatic talks are expected to continue, with military and technical officials from Israel, Lebanon, and the US due to meet in forthcoming discussions at the Pentagon.
Netanyahu is also demanding the disarmament of Hezbollah, while Lebanon faces deep political divisions and worsening humanitarian conditions amid ongoing strikes.
Al Jazeera’s Obaida Hitto reporting from Tyre, southern Lebanon.
