Russia's growing ties with Asia is expected to take centre stage at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum that begins tomorrow. The annual business gathering comes as Moscow seeks to deepen trade and investment links beyond the West so as to counter sanctions and geopolitical tensions. Among the highest-profile guests is Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, whose participation underscores the growing importance of economic cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.
