#WATCH | The Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam 3rd and 4th line project is worth ₹9,889 crore and will benefit districts including East Godavari, Konaseema, Kakinada, Anakapalli, and Visakhapatnam. A major 4.3 km bridge will be built over the Godavari river. The project is complex, involving 5 mega bridges, 58 major bridges, 416 minor bridges, 73 underpasses, 3 flyovers, and a 2.7 km elevated railway line with wire duct.

It will be fully Kavach-fitted and designed for high density, high capacity, and high speed, with a total track length of 458 km. Key economic sectors like thermal power plants, cement, steel, and ports will benefit. Around 29 million tonnes of cargo will shift from road to rail, reducing Carbon Dioxide emissions by 51.5 crore kg annually, equivalent to planting 2 crore trees and generating 135 lakh human-days of employment.

Under NDA 3.0, major sanctioned projects include 53 railway projects worth ₹2 lakh crore, 31 highway projects worth ₹3.38 lakh crore, 11 metro projects worth ₹1,44,000 crore, five new airports and UDAN worth ₹37,000 crore, one major port and shipping reforms worth ₹1,58,000 crore, two new ropeways worth ₹6,800 crore, hydro projects worth ₹71,000 crore, industrial and smart city projects worth ₹62,000 crore, PMAY worth ₹5,36,000 crore, and Jal Jeevan Mission worth ₹8.7 lakh crore, totalling over ₹24 lakh crore to support a developed India: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
