A wave of Russian air strikes across Ukraine has killed at least 11 people and injured more than 100.
Kyiv was the worst hit, where at least four people were killed and dozens more injured after a strike on a residential building caused partial collapse and left residents possibly trapped under rubble.
Ukraine says multiple cities were targeted, including Kharkiv and Dnipro, where seven people were killed and residential areas and infrastructure were damaged.
Russia’s Ministry of Defence says the “massive strike” used “high-precision weapons” and targeted Kyiv and the regions of Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk, as well as energy and transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian military.
Emergency crews continue search and rescue operations amid widespread destruction in Kyiv neighbourhoods.
Authorities say shelters had been crowded overnight as warnings of a major attack circulated in advance.
