Madlanga Commission | Madlanga Commission continues to hear drug-related testimony

A South African Police Service ( SAPS) Warrant Officer attached to the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal will continue to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on Tuesday morning.

Karl Sander started his testimony on Monday.

He focused on various drug busts, including the controversial Port Shepstone drug bust, which saw more than R200 million worth of drugs disappear from Hawks’ facilities.

Evidence before the Madlanga Commission has revealed that the Hawks facility in Port Shepstone did not have sufficient security detail to house the consignment.

The storage facility was picked by KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Major General Lesetja Senona, who is currently suspended.
