Makashule Gana elected Impeachment Committee Chair

​Rise Mzansi's Makashule Gana has been elected as Chairperson of the Impeachment Committee, which will investigate President Cyril Ramaphosa over the theft of foreign currency at his Phala Phala farm.

The ANC nominated Gana, and the DA seconded his nomination.

He won with 19 votes, while Dr Wonderboy Mahlatsi, leader of the African Transformation Union, garnered only 12 votes.

The EFF nominated Mahlatsi, and he was seconded by the MK Party.
