A 42-year-old man has been charged with robbing two 24-hour stores in Białystok, eastern Poland, at gunpoint with an illegal firearm. Police say the suspect entered both stores wearing a balaclava and hood, pointed what appeared to be a gun at the cashiers, threatened to kill them, and demanded money. He allegedly escaped with around $380.
Despite attempting to conceal his identity, investigators linked the two robberies to the same suspect. During a search of his home, police allegedly found the firearm used in the attacks, as well as the clothing and balaclava he wore. A ballistic examination confirmed that the weapon was a firearm. He remains in pre-trial detention and faces up to 20 years in prison.
