Service cuts to Metrobus off-peak routes

Hundreds of Johannesburg Metrobus commuters will be impacted by reduced bus services. Starting tomorrow, the 1st of June 2026, the bus operator has announced a reduction in the number of trips on its daily routes due to financial challenges and rising diesel costs. Metrobus says its off-peak routes will be most affected.
