Free State Matjhabeng Local Municipality Executive Mayor to face ANC disciplinary process

Matjhabeng Executive Mayor, Thanduxolo Khalipha is yet again under fire.

This time, as the ANC Regional Executive Committee in Lejweluputswa, Free State announces that it has asked the national leadership to re-configure the Troika, referring to the mayor, speaker and chief whip of the Matjhabeng Local Municipality.

This will essentially remove Khalipha from his position as executive mayor.

The Regional Executive Council says the state of governance in Matjhabeng is worrying, and service delivery has declined alarmingly.

This comes on the back of an announcemnt by ANC Secretary-General, Fikile Mbalula that Khalipha will face disciplinary action for putting the party into disrepute.
