2026 FIFA World Cup | SAFA works to resolve Bafana Bafana departure debacle

The South African Football Association (SAFA) says it's working around the clock to ensure Bafana Bafana travel to Mexico for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as soon as possible.

The team's journey hit a bump in the road when its flight had to postpone its departure for Mexico indefinitely, due to VISA issues.

An Emergency Committee meeting has been convened and a further update will be communicated to the nation after its conclusion.

Bafana open their World Cup campaign against Mexico on June 11.
