Siaya governor James Orengo attacked by ‘hired goons’ in Homa Bay County

For the second time in barely a month, Siaya governor James Orengo has been attacked in luo Nyanza. In the latest incident on Friday, Orengo was attacked when he visited Homabay. And in what appears to be a scheme to edge him out for siding with the Linda Mwananchi ODM faction that rivals party leader Oburu Oginga’s Linda Ground faction, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has launched a scathing attack on the first time governor that may dim his chance for re-election. And as Wycliffe Oketch reports, all this come just a day to the ODM grand rally in Kisumu aimed at solidifying its grip on the region ahead of the general elections.
