*The Police in KwaZulu-Natal has bid farewell to thirty-nine-year-old Sergeant Khuzwayo and his colleague Captain Cornelius Nel were ambushed while travelling in an unmarked vehicle in Mount Edgecombe in Durban.

*The family of Nonkululeko Ndaba who was killed in Boksburg in Ekurhuleni - three years ago - is seeking justice.

*President Cyril Ramaphosa says he is studying the second interim report from the Madlanga Commission. The commission submitted its latest findings this week, with the final report due by the end of August.

*KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has called for accountability, ethical leadership and a national reset across all sectors of society. Mkhwanazi received the 2025 Newsmaker of the Year award at the Press Club and UNISA awards last night, at the CSIR Centre in Pretoria.

*President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the official launch of the Kruger National Park Centenary Commemoration at Skukuza Rest Camp in Mpumalanga. The celebrations mark 100 years since the park was formally proclaimed in 1926.
