China-Serbia friendship flourishes: Global Mayor's Dialogue

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic described his recent state visit to China as "the most important" of his political career. Meanwhile, Jelena Medakovic, secretary of culture of Belgrade, attended the Global Mayors Dialogue in Huangshan.

Two years ago, CGTN's Yang Xinmeng covered Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Belgrade and felt the local people's warmth toward China. In Huangshan, she spoke to Medakovic about bilateral ties and cooperation. Medakovic noted that Chinese netizens call Vucic "577," a homophone of the Chinese pronunciation of his surname. She added that Chinese experts are knowledgeable and experienced, and young Serbian girls increasingly embrace Chinese fashion, makeup and lifestyles.
