Fuel retail forecourts are increasingly becoming full-service lifestyle hubs rather than just places to fill up on petrol.

This emerged at the latest Fuel Retailers Association and the Association for Convenience & Fuel Retailing Convenience (NACS) leaders' exhange held in Johannesburg.

The shift has come on the back of pressure on retailers amid lower volumes and thinning margins as the industry pivots towards non-fuel retail.
