The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) has pulled out all the stops for it's 2026 local government elections campaign launch, with a clear target in mind - the youth.

The chapter 9 institution officially launched the local elections - which is set for the 4th of November 2026 - in a ceremony filled with pomp and circumstance under the slogan: Get up, Show up, Vote.
