Iraq targets senior political figures in anti-corruption raids

Iraq has launched a sweeping anti-corruption campaign targeting senior political figures in what is becoming one of the country's biggest corruption investigations in years.

State media says dozens of suspects have been arrested across the country, with most of them lawmakers. The raids are the latest effort by authorities to crack down on alleged corruption among Iraq's political elite.
