Ngqeleni community rallies to save school

The community of Ngqeleni in the Eastern Cape have joined hands to raise funds for the refurbishment of the collapsing public school.

Teaching and learning are taking place terrible conditions.

The Ngqeleni Senior Secondary School's three classrooms caught fire in 2018.

During COVID-19, the school was also vandalized with windows and doors stripped off.

The school caters for more than 700 learners.

Parents, teachers, learners and local businesses have now launched a campaign to save the school.
