*WARNING* Graphic | Plastic View shack fire claims teenager's life

A devastating shack fire at Plastic View Informal Settlement in Moreleta Park, east of Pretoria has left a 13-year-old child dead, and more than 100 families displaced.

The City of Tshwane Emergency Services says firefighters on Thursday (28 May 2026), found over 100 shacks on fire.
