Justice Zukisa Tshiqi hangs up her robe

Constitutional Court Justice, Zukisa Tshiqi has been praised for her commitment to, and meaningful contribution to the South African Judiciary and Constitution.

The Constitutional Court hosted a ceremonial sitting to honour Justice Tshiqi, who will be retiring at the end of May following a 21-year-long career in the country's top courts.

She began her legal career in the late 1980s, before joining the Johannesburg High Court in 2005.

She later served at the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) for a decade before being permanently appointed to the Constitutional Court in 2019.
