Kenya set to host 2028 World Veterinary Association Congress

Kenya's livestock sector has received a major boost after the country secured the rights to host the 2028 World Veterinary Association Congress, becoming the first African nation to win the prestigious bid. The Kenya Veterinary Association says the milestone not only places the country at the centre of global veterinary science but is also expected to boost other sectors such as tourism and trade. Speaking during the association's 60th anniversary celebrations in Nairobi, KVA Secretary Carol Khaemba said the successful bid reflects the growth of Kenya's veterinary profession, providing a platform to share innovations in animal health, disease control and sustainable livestock production.
