Prime ministers of Poland and the U.K. signed a new defense agreement on Wednesday, strengthening security cooperation between the two NATO allies.
“Poland and the U.K. have long had common understanding of the security threat. And the point of the treaty is to articulate that threat in a way that modern warfare has not been articulated by the two countries until now. So it sets out very clearly what that is: it name-checks Russia,” Melinda Simmon, the British Ambassador to Poland, told TVP World.
Join TVP World’s Maciej Wilowski and Dame Melinda Simmons, the British Ambassador to Poland, as they explore defense cooperation between Warsaw and London, the war in Ukraine and its diplomatic implications, and the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries.
