Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos only informed the six players who were dropped from his provisional FIFA World Cup squad when he announced the 26 selected players at the Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria on Wednesday evening. And he says it was the best and most professional way to approach and handle a sensitive and emotional issue. Broos was accompanied by all 32 players to the announcement, before announcing his final squad in the presence of President Cyril Ramaphosa. Even though the six players who were omitted had the option to remain with the squad for an extra day, they opted to leave after the announcement.
