COJ Budget | Tariff increases and Service delivery issues: Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku

The City of Johannesburg will be prioritising infrastructure refurbishment of City Power and Johannesburg Water. Tabling her R97 billion budget for the 2026/2027 financial year on Wednesday, Joburg Finance MMC Loyiso Masuku allocated more than R28.3 billion in operating expenditure to City Power. Masuku says this will support the strengthening of Informal settlements' electrification and renewable energy projects.
